Now for a little tutorial.
- When you first enter the site, you see before you several categories: General and Chat, which are NOT for posting fiction content; General is for posts from the admin/s and/or moderator/s (see thread "Recruiting" for more information) and questions from members and/or non-members. Chat is for members to talk to each other about whatever they want ONLY.
- There are three other categories: Fanfiction, Original Fiction, and Poetry. There are what we call "boards" underneath those, the smaller sections with little explanations underneath them. So that's pretty self-explanatory.
- Inside the boards, however, are "threads", which members will start themselves FOR CONTENT ONLY. Inside the threads, underneath the content, is where comments and reviews will go.
- I recommend checking The Front Desk, which is underneath the General category, every time you visit the site, first thing. Check for new notices from the admins and mods. There might be some very important that you shouldn't miss.
- You can post anything you want here, as long as it's posted under the correct category and board. I cannot stress this enough. Your leading admin is AN EXTREME PERFECTIONIST and thus wants everything neat, organized, and easy to follow and correct. Having everything where it's designed to be also gives off a very good image, and we're looking to build a strong site with a strong and complimentary reputation.
- If members ever have any form of news they'd like to convey to the rest of the site, please visit The Bulletin Board, under the General category, which will be for member notices. Please keep in mind that this is the ONLY place for members to post notices, as The Front Desk is for admins and mods only, and everywhere else, besides Chat, is for fiction content only. If you feel like posting in Chat, feel free, but I highly recommend The Bulletin Board instead.
- If I've neglected to say anything else, and you have any questions about how to navigate, please don't hesitate to ask me, which you can do in two ways: reply to this thread, or contact me. My contact information is listed in my profile. Please note that my primary Messenger source is Yahoo, though I'm usually available on AIM, and rarely on MSN.
Until my next ramble,
- Kirby
